Healing Pavilion
A biophilic space to rejuvenate.
Design Notes
The project brief asked for a healing space for students and faculty.
The approach was rooted in biophilic principles and natural systems.
Site Analysis
Located near a quiet wooded grove with filtered sunlight.
Sun paths, wind direction, and human traffic flow were mapped to shape the design.

Sketches
Early sketches focused on curved forms and a sense of protected openness.
I experimented with thresholds and transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Schematic Design
I explored layering paths and seating zones to create rest points.
Material studies included natural stone, wood, and earth tones.

Final Design
A sunken seating area with a rain chain creates sensory engagement.
Surrounding vertical gardens soften noise and frame light play throughout the day.

Reflection on the Project
The site taught me more than any manual could. Designing with humility brought harmony.
Architecture that breathes with nature becomes a partner in healing, not just shelter.
